Job summary

AAON is seeking an entry-level Field Service Technician I to provide field service support for HVAC equipment at customer sites. You will assist with installation, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, ensuring safety and performance while documenting work and supporting customers with operational questions.

Under general supervision, you will develop technical expertise in HVAC systems, scheduling, and service delivery, with frequent travel to customer locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in technical service, HVAC, or related field.
• EPA Certification or HVAC-related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, startup, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment at customer locations.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Document service activities, inspections, repairs, and parts usage.
• Communicate service status and recommendations to customers.
• Operate and maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles.
• Support commissioning, startup, and operational verification.
• Assist customers with operation and troubleshooting.
