Job summary

IES Residential seeks an experienced HVAC Superintendent to oversee field operations, coordinate installation, service, replacement, and construction activities, and ensure safety and quality on every project. You will supervise field personnel, coordinate with project managers, customers, and subcontractors, and enforce codes and company standards on site.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, installation practices, tools, materials, troubleshooting techniques, and construction methods.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, applicable HVAC/mechanical codes, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, project plans, specifications, schedules, and HVAC documentation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to supervise, coordinate, train, and provide direction to HVAC field personnel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve field and operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily HVAC installation, service, replacement, and field operations on assigned job sites.
• Lead, manage, and provide direction to HVAC field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and other operational teams to support successful project completion.
• Review project plans, specifications, schedules, drawings, work orders, and HVAC requirements to ensure accurate and timely project execution.
• Monitor HVAC installation progress, field productivity, workmanship, safety, and quality standards throughout all phases of assigned projects.
• Ensure HVAC systems, equipment, materials, and installation practices comply with company standards, manufacturer requirements, applicable HVAC/mechanical codes, and project specifications.
