Job summary

Strictly Mechanical is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial HVAC installations. You will oversee crews, coordinate with the Project Manager and General Contractor, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on active sites.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, mentoring field staff, and maintaining momentum across multiple subcontractors. Travel to job sites is expected, with competitive compensation and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or trade school equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of commercial installation HVAC experience.
• Minimum of 3 years supervising commercial installation HVAC experience.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs/ladders, and standing for extended periods.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site field operations for commercial HVAC projects, ensuring adherence to plans and safety standards.
• Act as liaison between the Project Manager and General Contractor for clear communication and efficient execution.
• Organize subcontractor workflows, confirm material readiness, and resolve technical or logistical issues.
• Provide leadership by example, instructing and sometimes directly participating in installation activities to maintain momentum.
• Manage labor, materials, and equipment to meet project goals and schedules.
• Enforce safety standards and proactively address hazards on site.
• Attend project meetings and report progress, challenges, and key metrics.
• Mentor and develop field staff, fostering professionalism and accountability.
• Maintain consistent communication with the General Superintendent and Project Manager.
