Job summary

Cedar Community is seeking a Maintenance Technician (HVAC & Facilities) to keep our buildings and systems operating safely and efficiently. The role covers HVAC troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and general maintenance tasks while supporting on-site operations for residents in a year-round environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience, strong HVAC knowledge, and a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

Qualifications

1–2 years of related maintenance, facilities, HVAC, or mechanical experience preferred.
Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems including heating, boilers, refrigeration, ventilation, and controls.
Working knowledge of pumps, motors, belts, and other mechanical components.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment.
Valid Wisconsin driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC & mechanical systems including boilers, refrigeration, ventilation, air handlers, thermostats, controls, pumps and motors.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment and building systems.
Troubleshoot and complete repairs involving plumbing, lighting, equipment, and general maintenance needs.
Maintain water systems and test/repair facility and resident equipment.
Help ensure buildings and systems remain safe, functional and reliable for residents and team members.
