Job summary

Aurora Health Care's IL Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks a Maintenance Trades Specialist II - HVAC for full-time, first shift (Tue-Fri 7:00-3:30, Sat 3:00-11:30).

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, read blueprints, and support installation of hardware under supervision; requires HS diploma, valid driver's license, 2–4 years of related maintenance experience, and proficiency with CMMS, BAS, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Advanced technical training after high school.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 2–4 years of related maintenance experience.
• Intermediate computer skills: CMMS, Microsoft Office, BAS.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems and documents tasks through the computerized maintenance system.
• Assists in evaluating and troubleshooting basic building system failures and performs repairs as directed.
• Operates and monitors and maintains basic Utility System Infrastructure.
• Assist in maintaining fire alarm and fire protection systems.
• Supports the installation of building hardware, electrical devices, and wall finishes under supervision.
• Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files for compliance.
• Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments.
