Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in the Dallas area to design and implement HVAC systems for diverse projects across restaurant, retail, hospitality, commercial, and entertainment venues.

You will perform load calculations, energy modeling, and coordinate with architects and other engineers to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery. A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of HVAC experience are required, with opportunities for growth and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required; PE license a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering focused on HVAC design.
• Experience with restaurant, retail, hospitality, commercial, or entertainment venues preferred.
• Strong load calculation skills; proficient with AutoCAD; basic Revit understanding.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and implementation of HVAC systems for multiple building types.
• Perform detailed load calculations and energy modeling for HVAC systems.
• Review design plans and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Lead HVAC-related projects including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit to create 2D/3D HVAC models and drawings.
• Troubleshoot HVAC design and installation issues.

• Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.

Job Details

Responsibilities

1. Overseeing the design and implementation of HVAC systems for various types of buildings, ensuring they meet all necessary specifications and standards.
2. Conducting detailed load calculations and energy modeling for HVAC systems.
3. Reviewing design plans and construction documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
4. Leading and managing HVAC-related projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with other team members and stakeholders.
5. Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed 2B / 3D models and drawings of HVAC systems.
6. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to HVAC design and installation.
7. Keeping up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and industry trends, and incorporating them into your work as appropriate.
8. Collaborating closely with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Qualifications

1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on HVAC design.
3. Experience with restaurant, retail, hospitality, commercial, or entertainment venues is preferred
4. Strong skills in load calculation of HVAC systems.
5. Proficiency with AutoCAD and a basic understanding of Revit.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC issues.
7. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
