Job summary

Southland Industries is offering an Internship and New College Graduate program that delivers immersive, hands-on experience in design engineering for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. You will assist the design team and contribute to calculations, drawings, and specifications under supervision.

The program aims to develop practical skills, communication, and problem-solving while exposing you to potential career paths in a nationwide MEP firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Southland needs: Mechanical Engineering本科 entry.
• Completion of Thermodynamics and HVAC Design coursework is highly desirable.
• Strong work ethic and initiative are required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers in design tasks as required.
• Perform basic deliverables such as calculations, drawings, and specifications for HVAC systems under supervision.
• Calculate loads, equipment sizing, pipe and duct sizing, and friction loss calculations.
• Coordinate design with project management, architects, and other trades through completion.
• Perform and check CADD drafting work.
