Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Southland needs: Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Completion of Thermodynamics and HVAC Design classes is highly desirable.
• Strong work ethic and proactive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Engineers in design tasks as required.
• Perform basic deliverables and products (calculations, drawings, specs) under supervision.
• Perform basic calculations for heating/cooling loads, equipment sizing, pipe/duct sizing, friction loss.
• Coordinate project design with management, architects and other trades to project completion.
• Perform and check CADD drafting work.
• Review codes and field conditions to support design.
