Job summary

DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES MFG INC in Texas is seeking an experienced HVAC engineer to plan, organize and lead new product developments from a technical standpoint, driving quality, efficiency and cost reductions.

The role partners with internal customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet design, quality and regulatory targets, mentor junior engineers, and shepherd projects from inception to production with a strong focus on DFMA and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Plan, organize and lead HVAC product developments from a technical standpoint.
• Five (5) years of HVAC engineering experience.
• Provide technical SME support to engineering teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and lead new HVAC product developments from a technical standpoint to improve quality and efficiency.
• Manage and coordinate design, testing and development of residential and/or commercial HVAC products.
• Provide technical SME support to engineering teams, internal business units and external customers.
• Drive continuous improvement projects related to product design and quality; resolve issues.
• Mentor entry level engineers.
• Lead multiple design projects from inception to production with focus on cost, quality, safety and on-time delivery.
• Develop and manage project schedules, teams and resources.
