Job summary

Daikin Comfort is seeking an experienced HVAC design engineer to plan, lead and execute product development from concept to production. You will collaborate with internal customers, suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet performance, cost and quality targets.

The role requires five years of HVAC design experience, strong tolerance analysis, and hands-on involvement with testing, validation and regulatory certifications (UL/ETL/DOE/AHRI). Mentoring junior engineers is also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Five years HVAC engineering experience designing and sustaining specifications for HVAC systems, including calculations, validation, development and launch.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and lead HVAC product development projects from concept to production.
• Coordinate design, testing and development activities with internal teams, suppliers and customers.
• Provide technical SME support to engineering and other business units.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction, and DFMA opportunities.
• Prepare BOMs, cost analyses, drawings and ECRs with accuracy.
• Mentor entry level engineers and lead cross-functional teams through product launches.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and test labs for certifications (UL, ETL, DOE, AHRI).
