Job summary
Daikin Comfort Technologies is seeking a Principal Engineer to join our engineering team to develop and sustain residential and/or commercial HVAC related products. The Principal Engineer will provide technical expertise in areas of HVAC new product development and apply thermodynamics, heat transfer and refrigeration knowledge to aid in the development and sustainment of HVAC products.
The role requires leadership of design teams, involvement in DFMEA/DFM, and coordination of main engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
- MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification – strongly preferred.
- Project Management certification - preferred.
Responsibilities
- 15+ years HVAC and/or automotive industry related experience with product design, development and launch.
- 8+ years of experience with product design in the automotive, appliance, or HVAC industry.
- At least 3 plus years of project management experience.
