Job summary

Trane Technologies in Glen Burnie, MD; Midlothian, VA; and surrounding districts seeks a Customer Specialist to support quotes, orders, and customer inquiries with strong service and sales focus.

You will back Account Managers, visit customers as needed, and help drive store productivity and growth while maintaining high standards of customer service. On-site role with some location flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years inside sales, retail, or related experience.
• HVAC or mechanical background preferred.
• Strong customer-service, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• High energy, teamwork orientation, and comfort with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, identify needs, and provide effective solutions.
• Process quotes and orders for Account Managers, maintaining high volume and accuracy.
• Provide technical support, promote product offerings, and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Make outbound calls, resolve customer issues within policy, and visit customers as needed.
• Support store operations through event assistance, in-store coverage, inventory tasks, and adherence to safety and standard work.
• Collaborate with teams, mentor new associates, engage in community activities, and model strong customer-facing behavior.
