Job summary

Watsco Inc. in the United States is seeking a Lead Counter Sales Associate to deliver exceptional sales and service at the counter of a wholesale HVAC distributorship.

The Lead will supervise and train other Counter Sales Associates, assist management with daily operations, and ensure strong customer service in a sales-driven environment. Qualifications include HVAC knowledge, customer service experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year experience in HVAC, customer Service, warehousing/distribution or retail.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level preferred.
• Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with internal and outside salespeople, vendors and contractors.
• Prepare and complete weekly cycle counts; timely processing and return of in-warranty items to manufacturers; handling freight claims for missing or damaged equipment/supplies; handling intra-store transfers and promoting sales of monthly specialty items.
• Order and schedule arrivals of equipment and supplies for resale; track incoming merchandise and special orders; assist warehouse personnel when needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of customer credit status and strict maintenance of credit codes on sales to customers.
• Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.
• Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
• Assist Territory Sales Managers with product information, availability, pricing and special factors when needed.
• Complete sales order process for customers with efforts to up-sell associated items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned.
