Job summary

Gemaire Distributors in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a Lead Counter Sales Associate to join our fast-paced HVAC wholesale team. You will provide exceptional counter sales service, knowledge of HVAC products, and support management in daily operations.

Responsibilities include assisting dealers and end users, processing orders, coordinating deliveries, and promoting monthly specialties. A minimum 1+ year in HVAC or related field is required, with strong customer service and sales skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in HVAC, customer service, warehousing/distribution or retail.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at wholesale distribution level preferred.
• Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service.
• Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service.
• Ability to work independently, but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
• A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with internal and outside salespeople, vendors and contractors.
• Process weekly cycle counts, timely processing and return of in-warranty items to manufacturers, handling freight claims for missing or damaged equipment/supplies, handling of intra-store transfers and promoting sales of monthly specialty items.
• Order and schedule the arrival of equipment and supplies for resale; track incoming merchandise and special orders; assist warehouse personnel when needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of customer credit status and strict maintenance of credit codes on sales to customers.
• Responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product.
• Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
• Assist Territory Sales Managers with product information, availability, pricing and special factors when needed.
• Complete sales order process for customers with efforts to up-sell associated items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
