Job summary

Qualifications

• HVAC experience with basic technical knowledge.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Strong math skills for transactions, calculations, and quotes.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (assistance available for 50–75 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer calls; identify needs and recommend HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies that best fit their requirements.
• Discuss features and benefits of merchandise; stay current on promotions and deals to maximize sales opportunities.
• Research inventory availability using computer databases, prepare sales/quote orders, process payments, and handle substitutions when needed.
• Maintain organized showroom displays, assist warehouse staff, and coordinate transfers, open orders, and warranty authorizations.
• Balance counter sales with clerical support, telephone outreach, and warehouse assistance—wearing multiple hats to keep operations running smoothly.
• Other duties as assigned.
