R.E. Michel Company in Escondido, CA is seeking an entry-level Counter Sales Associate. You will handle telephone inquiries, assist customers, locate items, and generate invoices using company systems.

You will also load items for delivery and assist at the customer site as needed. You will greet customers, answer questions about HVAC parts, and enter orders in the system the same day. Basic math and computer skills are essential, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced warehouse and retail

Formación

• Basic understanding of Heating and Cooling systems, parts and supplies.
• Exemplary verbal communication with customers.
• Excellent attitude and interpersonal skills for branch, phone, or on-site service.
• Proficiency operating a computer and Prophet 21 software.
• Basic math skills including markup vs gross margin concepts.
• Ability to read invoices, catalogs, stock numbers and descriptions to identify items.

Responsabilidades

• Provide fast and friendly customer service in person or by phone.
• Greet customers and maintain a positive store presence.
• Enter customer orders in the system on the same day received.
• Pull orders from warehouse and load into delivery truck or staging area.
• Prepare invoices, CODs, vendor orders, and shipping/receiving paperwork.
• Ensure all products leaving the branch are billed and collect payments.
• Process customer returns and warranties the same day.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized self-service areas.
• Create and maintain branch displays aligned with corporate programs.
• Use all resources to locate products and update customers on deliveries/backorders.
• Report damage or safety issues to supervisor.
• Use sales tactics to promote specials and learn product details.
• Perform warehouse duties as needed and keep area clean.
