Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical HVAC estimating or takeoffs, or equivalent education.
• Experience reviewing light commercial and multifamily mechanical plans.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents (drawings, specs, bid forms).
• Excellent verbal communication skills for presenting to customers or teams.
• Experience with estimating techniques and cost control.
• Ability to perform detailed equipment and material take-offs.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Cost Estimator to join our team in Irving, TX. This role offers the opportunity to apply your HVAC estimating knowledge to commercial and multifamily construction projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids.

As an HVAC Cost Estimator, you will prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing project plans and specifications. You will collaborate with Business Development, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to deliver competitive pricing and support successful bid execution in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical HVAC estimating or takeoffs, or equivalent combination of education and training.
• Experience reviewing light commercial and multifamily mechanical plans.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents such as drawings, specifications, bid forms, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Effective verbal communication skills to speak before groups of customers or employees.
• Experience with estimating techniques and cost control.
• Ability to perform detailed equipment and material take-offs.
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of estimation software on GRDS such as Fast Duct and cross-reference tools is strongly encouraged.
• Well versed in current industry trends.
• Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to perform duties outside of scope when necessary.
