Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical HVAC estimating or takeoffs.
• Experience reviewing light commercial and multifamily mechanical plans.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents such as drawings, specs, bid forms, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
• Effective verbal communication skills to speak before groups of customers or employees; experience with estimating techniques and cost control.
• Ability to perform detailed equipment and material take-offs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate bid requests for commercial and multifamily projects.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents such as drawings, specifications, bid forms, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Effective verbal communication skills to speak before groups of customers or employees.Experience with estimating techniques and cost control.
• Ability to perform detailed equipment and material take-offs.
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of estimation software on GRDS such as Fast Duct and cross-reference tools is strongly encouraged.
• Well versed in current industry trends.
• Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to perform duties outside of scope when necessary.
