Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a Commercial New Construction Estimator to prepare accurate HVAC estimates for commercial and multifamily projects. You will review project plans, collaborate with Business Development, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to ensure competitive pricing and successful bid execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical HVAC estimating or takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate bid requests for commercial and multifamily projects.
• Prepare weekly bid board calendar and ensure timely completion of pricing.
• Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze project documents to understand scope of work and identify potential pricing gaps.
• Prepare cost analysis by recapitulating material, equipment, and incurred costs.
• Generate estimates when predetermined standards are not available.
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements.
• Build relationships with customers to improve bid-day communication and advantages.
• Assist Business Development with procurement strategies, lead suggestions, selling points, and needs review, including attending sales activities as needed.
