Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical HVAC estimating or takeoffs, or equivalent education.
• Experience reviewing light commercial and multifamily mechanical plans.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents (drawings, specs, bid forms).
• Excellent verbal communication skills for presenting to customers or teams.
• Experience with estimating techniques and cost control.
• Ability to perform detailed equipment and material take-offs.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate bid requests for commercial and multifamily projects.
• Prepare weekly bid board calendar and ensure timely pricing.
• Review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze project documents to understand scope and identify pricing gaps.
• Prepare cost analysis by recapitulating material, equipment, and incurred costs.
• Generate estimates when predefined standards are not available.
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements.
• Build relationships with customers to improve bid-day communication and advantages.
• Assist Business Development with procurement strategies and attending sales activities as needed.
