Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Controls Service Technician 2 to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of building control systems on-site. You will diagnose complex issues, liaise with customers and mentor fellow technicians, ensuring high standards of service.

With a strong background in HVAC controls, you will contribute to energy efficiency and system reliability while delivering clear documentation and customer-friendly proposals for improvements.

Qualifications

• Four+ years commercial controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC.
• Strong knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
• Effective writing skills and ability to document work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and servicing of building control systems.
• Troubleshoot complex control system malfunctions and write modifications in system software.
• Prepare field proposals for retrofits or upgrades and assist sales with technical input.
• Provide on-site training and mentorship to junior technicians.
