Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a Controls Systems Team Leader to manage a branch operations team of technicians and designers, assign projects, allocate resources, and ensure on-time delivery within scope.

You will drive safety, integrity, and accountability while coordinating with contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders to achieve consistent project results in a demanding HVAC environment.

Qualifications

• Technical associate’s degree with field experience in HVAC or equivalent coordination experience.
• Hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls.
• Ability to communicate technical material clearly to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of system technicians and system designers in day-to-day branch operations.
• Assign projects to lead systems specialists and coordinate necessary resources.
• Provide site coordination for high-complexity projects, including subcontractor coordination and scheduling changes.
• Review contract terms and assess scope impacts from client directives and scheduling changes.
• Support change orders and identify opportunities for additional work.
• Aid schedule of values development for projects with detailed billing.
