Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States seeks a Building Controls Engineer to design, configure, and optimize complex HVAC control systems within building automation environments.

Under general direction you will develop software, commission systems, troubleshoot operation, and provide submittals to customers, consultants, and field teams. Willing to travel to project sites as needed to support customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Recent graduate.
• HVAC and building automation knowledge.
• Knowledge of control theory and building subsystems from design to commissioning.
• Experience in integrating low-voltage building subsystems using various protocols (e.g., LON, BacNet).
• Advanced computer skills including drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems with an HVAC focus.
• Develop and test software, commission systems, and troubleshoot to ensure proper operation.
• Provide submittals and communication to customers, consultants, and field teams.
