Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a HVAC Controls Specialist II to join the Technical Services team. You will evaluate, program, optimize, and test building systems on-site or remotely, focusing on retro-commissioning (RCx) and relevant new construction commissioning (Cx) with a solutions-based approach.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent in HVAC, Energy Management, Building Automation or related technical field.
• +7 years of commissioning or related field experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Attention to safety.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work with minimal information and directions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Competency with Cloud Based commissioning software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per ENFRA policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Documentation and communication with project delivery team and manager.
• Execute tasks and deliverables in a timely manner.
• Participate in site surveys, documentation review, and due diligence for energy conservation measures.
• Participate in design and submittal reviews of new construction commissioning scope.
• Utilize CxAlloy to document commissioning scopes.
• Develop pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests in CxAlloy.
• Create technical reports and project observations to support progress and understanding of building systems.
• Implement energy conservation measures independently or with team partners.
• Review pre-functional checklists against site conditions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize building system programming.
• Troubleshoot building system integration and networking issues.
• Use test instrumentation to verify and optimize operation.
• Oversee functional performance tests for construction scope acceptance.
• Provide on-site supervision of trade partners and sub consultants as needed.
