Job summary

ENFRA LLC is seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Specialist II to join the Technical Services team. You will evaluate, program, optimize, and test building systems on-site or remotely, focusing on retro-commissioning and new construction commissioning with a solutions-based mindset.

You will collaborate with construction management, facilities, engineers, and trade partners to deliver optimized energy and project outcomes, while documenting work and maintaining project records in ENFRA systems.

Qualifications

Associates Degree or equivalent in HVAC, Energy Management, Building Automation or related technical field.
+7 years of commissioning or related field experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems or building operation management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Attention to safety.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work with minimal information and direction.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Competency with Cloud Based commissioning software platforms.

Responsibilities

Perform duties in accordance with ENFRA policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Document, collaborate, and communicate with project delivery team and Team Manager.
Execute and complete assigned tasks and deliverables on time.
Participate in site surveys, documentation reviews, and due diligence to determine facility conditions and energy measures.
Participate in design/submittal reviews of new construction commissioning scope.
Utilize CxAlloy to document commissioning scopes.
Develop pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests in CxAlloy.
Develop technical reports and observations for project team.
Implement energy conservation measures independently or with partners.
Review pre-functional checklists vs. site conditions.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and modify building system programming as needed.
Troubleshoot building system integration and networking issues.
Use test instrumentation to verify building system operation.
Oversee and execute functional performance tests for construction scope acceptance.
Provide on-site supervision of trade partners and sub consultants.
Document energy measures and system programming for on-site archiving.
Maintain awareness of energy performance and ensure targets are met.
Escalate and address issues with project team as needed.
