Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Commercial Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems onsite. You will troubleshoot complex controls, mentor technicians, and ensure high customer satisfaction with thorough documentation and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Six years of commercial controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC.
• Vocational school diploma or associate degree in a technical field, or two years' experience.
• Ability to install and service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
• Strong writing skills and understanding of programs and software.
• Knowledge of control theory and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control systems malfunctions.
• Consult with customers and provide field proposals for retrofits/upgrades.
• Manage assigned work to meet timelines and customer satisfaction.
• Install and modify software and graphics for control systems.
• Train customers on system operations and provide documentation.
