Job summary

Johnson Controls in Irving, TX is hiring an HVAC Controls Lead Project Specialist to lead on-site control systems projects from design and programming through installation, commissioning and closeout, balancing technical delivery with customer satisfaction.

You will manage hardware design, system programming, coordination of installation, testing, and handover, as well as project costs, billings and cash flow, while mentoring technicians and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Technical associate degree or equivalent field experience in HVAC.
• Hands-on experience in design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site control systems projects from design to handover, ensuring scope, schedule, quality and financial goals.
• Oversee hardware design, programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Manage project costs, billings, collections, profitability goals, and cash flow.
• Coordinate communication with customers throughout all phases of the project and manage subcontractors.
