Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Project Designer to produce clear design documentation for Building Management Control Systems, focusing on HVAC controls, based on project specs and drawings. You will create riser diagrams, panels layouts, wiring diagrams, and submittals, ensuring compliance and safety.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of related experience, an associate degree in Mechanical Design Technology or HVAC/R, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or equivalent
• Associate degree in Mechanical Design Technology or related field; Bachelor's preferred
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC/R and process drawings and schematics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of CAD drawing concepts and basic drawing layout

Responsibilities

• Create riser diagrams, flow diagrams, material lists, sequences of operations, panel layouts, termination details and equipment schedules.
• Create cable pull drawings.
• Create submittals and O&M manuals.
• Perform basic electrical calculations to ensure system operation and safety.
• Perform sizing calculations for control valves and dampers.
• Select components based on availability, project estimate, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Work within standardized procedures and practices to meet deadlines.
