Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Project Designer in Lincoln to produce clear design documentation for Building Management Control Systems, focusing on HVAC controls. You will prepare riser and flow diagrams, material lists, and equipment schedules based on project specs and drawings.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, an Associate’s degree in mechanical design technology (Bachelor’s in HVAC/R preferred), and strong reading of drawings with good communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of job-related experience with a high school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma.
• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design Technology; Bachelor's in HVAC/R preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC/R and process drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create riser diagrams, flow diagrams, material lists, sequences of operations, panel layouts, and equipment schedules.
• Create cable pull drawings and submittals with O&M manuals.
• Perform basic electrical calculations for operation and safety.
• Do control valve and damper sizing calculations.
• Select components based on availability, project estimate, and standards.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.
