Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Project Designer to produce clear design documentation for Building Management Control Systems, with emphasis on HVAC controls, drawing on project specs and mechanical drawings. You will create diagrams, cable pulls, submittals, and O&M manuals, plus perform sizing and basic electrical calculations to ensure safe operation.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design Technology or HVAC/R field (Bachelor’s preferred) and 2–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in mechanical design or HVAC/R field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read HVAC/R drawings, schematics, and process diagrams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Windows, Office, and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Create riser diagrams, flow diagrams, material lists, sequence of operations and equipment schedules.
• Develop cable pull drawings and panel layouts; prepare submittals and O&M manuals.
• Perform basic electrical calculations to verify operation and safety.
• Size control valves and dampers; select components per specs and standards.
• Adhere to CBRE procedures; model CBRE RISE values and meet deadlines.
