Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Project Designer to produce clear design documentation for Building Management Control Systems, focusing on HVAC controls, aligned with project specs and drawings. You will create diagrams, submittals, and O&M manuals while applying CBRE RISE values and standardized procedures to meet deadlines.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, an associate degree in Mechanical Design Technology or HVAC/R, and strong reading/comprehension of drawings, with excellent written

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or combination of education and experience.
• Associate Degree in Mechanical Design Technology or related field; Bachelor's in HVAC/R preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC/R and process drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics.

Responsibilities

• Create riser diagrams, flow diagrams, material lists, sequences of operations, panel layouts, termination details and equipment schedules.
• Create cable pull drawings.
• Create submittals and O&M manuals.
• Perform basic electrical calculations for system operation and safety.
• Perform sizing calculations for control valves and dampers.
• Select components based on availability and project requirements.
• Lead by example and align with CBRE RISE values.
• Work within standardized procedures and meet deadlines.
