Job summary

Vincere is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to design building automation and HVAC control solutions for projects in California. The role involves creating control schematics, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation while collaborating with engineering teams to deliver effective solutions.

The position offers engineering development, ESOP ownership, and opportunities for increased responsibility within a technical, growing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Controls Design Engineer / BAS Controls Engineer / HVAC Controls Engineer.
• Experience with BAS / HVAC controls systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and HVAC system operation.
• Experience producing or interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, controls schematics and control documentation.
• Knowledge of sequences of operation and control points.
• Ability to understand how HVAC and mechanical systems operate beyond drafting requirements.
• Strong electrical controls experience may be considered where supported by relevant mechanical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design building automation and HVAC control solutions based on project requirements.
• Develop and review controls schematics, wiring diagrams and related design documentation.
• Create and interpret sequences of operation and control points.
• Apply knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems to produce practical controls designs.
• Work with engineering teams to deliver accurate and effective controls solutions.
• Support technical discussions and contribute to engineering processes.
• Develop towards greater technical ownership and responsibility within the business.
