Job summary

Control Air Enterprises LLC, an employee-owned company (ESOP), is seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our Controls team in California. Work on Building Management Systems (BMS) in both new and existing buildings, gaining hands-on project experience and professional growth.

Responsibilities include generating system topology, reviewing submittals, coordinating with PMs, and assisting with CO estimating.

Qualifications

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor daily project requirements.
• Generate VAVs, basic AHUs, FCUs, and basic system topology.
• Develop and review project submittals.
• Attend project meetings and assist with CO estimating and RFIs.

Job description

Control Air Enterprises LLC, an employee-owned company (ESOP), is seeking a motivated Design Engineer to join our growing Controls team. This role offers the opportunity to work on Building Management Systems (BMS) in both new and existing buildings, while gaining hands-on project experience and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

As a Design Engineer, you will prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the daily requirements of assigned projects. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Generate VAVs, basic AHUs, FCUs, and basic system topology
• Develop and review project submittals
• Participate in job walks with the lead engineer and Project Manager
• Create and track purchase orders
• Support internal job management meetings
• Obtain and review vendor quotes
• Maintain organized project files
• Attend bi-weekly PM meetings and monthly JTD meetings
• Assist with CO estimating (entry level)
• Generate and track RFIs
