Verto People Ltd is seeking a Controls Design Engineer / BAS Controls Engineer / HVAC Controls Engineer in Azusa, CA. The role focuses on designing building automation and HVAC control solutions, developing schematics, and interpreting sequences of operation to deliver practical controls designs.

You will work with engineering teams to create accurate control documentation, apply mechanical systems knowledge, and pursue technical ownership within the business, with opportunities for leadership

Qualifications

The Controls Design Engineer / BAS Controls Engineer / HVAC Controls Engineer Role:

• Design building automation and HVAC control solutions based on project requirements

Controls Design Engineer / BAS Controls Engineer / HVAC Controls Engineer Requirements:

• Experience as a Controls Design Engineer, BAS Controls Engineer, HVAC Controls Engineer, Controls Engineer or similar building controls role
• Previous experience with BAS / HVAC controls systems is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of mechanical and HVAC system operation
• Experience producing or interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, controls schematics and control documentation
• Knowledge of sequences of operation and control points
• Ability to understand how HVAC and mechanical systems operate beyond drafting requirements
• Strong electrical controls experience may be considered where supported by relevant mechanical systems knowledge

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with controls design software such as Visio or similar tools
• Mechanical Engineering background or related technical education
• Experience supporting junior engineers or working towards technical leadership responsibilities
