Job summary

Trane Technologies in West Michigan is seeking a Controls Account Manager for its Commercial HVAC team. You will develop long-term relationships with consulting engineers, contractors and building owners, delivering a total solution for energy-efficient buildings.

You will develop HVAC controls solutions, assess customer needs and market opportunities, assemble teams, convert leads, plan accounts, and assist with technical questions on HVAC systems and Trane products.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of demonstrated experience or a Bachelor of Science degree.
• 2+ years of solution sales experience.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience and relevant skills are valued.
• Driver's license, valid and in state with no major violations in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge and consultation in developing HVAC controls solutions, including financial and performance-based considerations.
• Consistently ascertain customer needs and current market opportunities.
• Assemble and coordinate acquisition team as needed for customers and projects.
• Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process and communicating next steps.
• Develop and execute an account-specific business plan to facilitate a strong, profitable partnership.
• Assist customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane products, and control applications.
• Ability to plan your day and visit customers.
