Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Controls Account Manager to join our Commercial HVAC team, focusing on delivering total energy-efficient building solutions through strong relationships with engineers, contractors, and owners.

You will assess customer needs, coordinate internal teams, and turn opportunities into actionable plans. A BS or 4+ years of experience and a background in solution sales are preferred; a valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of demonstrated experience in sales or a BS degree with relevant experience.
• 2+ years of solution sales experience.
• Candidates with a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply; practical experience and leadership alignment are valued.
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, valid and in state with no major violations in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge and consultation for HVAC controls solutions addressing customer problems.
• Identify customer needs and market opportunities; assemble the acquisition team as needed.
• Convert leads into opportunities by selecting the right sales process and coordinating team members.
• Develop an account-specific business plan for long-term, profitable partnerships.
