Job summary

Carrier Enterprise is seeking a Commercial Outside Sales Engineer in Lenexa, KS. You will act as a technical sales consultant to engineers, contractors, architects, and owners/developers in design, application and sale of HVAC systems across our distributor network.

You will leverage your HVAC product knowledge, field experience, and relationship-building skills to meet sales goals, price estimates, and win bids while collaborating with manufacturers and dealers nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven technical sales in HVAC
• Strong presentation skills
• Solid understanding of HVAC principles

Responsibilities

• Contact and call on consulting engineers, contractors, architects, and owners to achieve annual sales and gross margin goals
• Conduct sales, design, and application training to key decision makers
• Work with specifying engineers and design-build contractors to help specify CE products
• Create new business through organized prospecting and increase market share in assigned territory
• Conduct take-offs of plans and specifications; develop and price estimates, write proposals and bids
• Participate in local and regional trade organizations and trade shows
• Provide and coordinate technical and product training to customers
