Job summary

Carrier Enterprise is a premier HVAC distributor seeking a Commercial Outside Sales Engineer to drive sales and application design for unitary heating and cooling products. You will engage engineers, contractors, and owners to specify CE products and expand our market reach.

The role requires 5+ years of HVAC sales experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and proven ability to develop proposals, price estimates, and deliver technical training. Full-time and part-time options available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven technical sales, HVAC sales experience.
• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• Solid understanding of HVAC principles.
• Verifiable experience with specified products.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proficient with a PC and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Contact and call on consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, architects, and owners to achieve annual sales and gross margin goals.
• Conduct sales, design, and application training to above reference key decision makers.
• Work with specifying engineers and design-build contractors to help specify CE products.
• Create new business through organized prospecting and increase our share of business from assigned territory.
• Conduct take-offs of plans and specifications; develop and price estimates, write the proposal and bid jobs.
• Participate in local and regional trade organizations and trade shows.
• Provide and/or coordinate technical and product training to customers.
