Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. seeks skilled HVAC Technicians to service air cooled/water cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs and large roof-top units. The role includes commissioning, aftermarket service, and providing solutions to improve facility efficiency.

A company vehicle is provided; travel up to 20% may be required. Applicants should be experienced with centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, absorption/screw chillers and possess EPA refrigerant licenses, with valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience with air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers and boilers.
• Ability to lead large repairs or retrofits.
• Repair of centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, absorption/screw chillers, ammonia/hydrocarbon components.
• Maintains ammonia/hydrocarbon safety training certification.
• Extensive HVAC systems knowledge including chilled water loops and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning and aftermarket service for fast-growing HVAC business.
• Provide solutions and outcomes at commissioning and post-sale service.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and upsell opportunities.
• Travel 10–20% to support startup, commissioning and service activities.
