Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. seeks skilled HVAC Technicians to service commercial and ducted systems, air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, AHUs, and rooftop units in North America.

The role includes startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket service, with training through the STA and opportunities for career development. Expect travel 10–20% for startup and commissioning activities, and the ability to write clear quotes and customer communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on commercial and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water‑cooled chillers, AHU’s or Roof Top ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers system components.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and commission HVAC systems in commercial/ducted settings.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to customers and assist in service sales.
• Travel 10–20% for startup, commissioning, and aftermarket service activities.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and collaborate with local market mechanics.
