Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support the fast-growing North American HVAC business. You will work on residential and ducted systems, chillers, AHUs, and roof-top units, with factory certification through our STA and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on Residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHU’s or Roof Top ducted units with strong HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers system components.
• Travel maybe required 10% to 20% to support Branch Customers startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting.
• You will be required to pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• This is a Bargaining Unit Position.

Responsibilities

• Provide commissioning and aftermarket service for HVAC facilities.
• Solve facility inefficiencies and provide on-site recommendations.
• Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Collaborate with local market mechanics to deliver service quality.
• Participate in STA training to gain HVAC product knowledge and sales quoting.
