Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking HVAC Technicians to support the fast-growing North America HVAC business. You’ll work on air cooled and water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs and large roof-top ducted units with strong troubleshooting experience.

We provide STA certification, recognition, and advancement. The role includes startup, commissioning, and aftermarket service, with travel to support branch customers and a company vehicle for onsite work.

Qualifications

• Practical working experience on air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs or large roof top ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Lead large complex repairs, jobs or retrofits.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, absorption chillers, screw chillers and/or ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
• Extensive experience in HVAC systems (Chilled water loops, Pumping, Compressor enthalpy, Troubleshooting).
• Travel may be required 10% to 20% to support Branch customers startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service further.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
• Act as trusted advisor to customers, delivering solutions at commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Support onboarding and on-the-job training for other Technicians.
