Job summary

RNInk is seeking an experienced HVAC Building Controls Application Engineer to design, program, configure, commission, and troubleshoot commercial building automation and HVAC control systems.

You will develop complete building control solutions, including control sequences, network layouts, and electrical schematics, while collaborating with field technicians, customers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate implementation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus 2+ years in HVAC controls or equivalent.
• Knowledge of BAS/BMS from design to commissioning.
• Ability to read schematics and develop sequences.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure commercial HVAC building automation and control systems per project specs.
• Develop control drawings, flow diagrams, sequences of operation, BOMs, network layouts, and schematics.
• Configure, test software/programming for building control systems per project needs.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, submittals, and installation documents.
• Select and order controls equipment while tracking deliveries to schedule.
• Assist with loading, programming, and commissioning system-level controllers.
• Provide field-change info for accurate as-built drawings and final software docs.
• Track project progress and raise issues to stakeholders.
