Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled building controls professional to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems including fire, security, and low voltage subsystems. You will work with field teams to ensure quality, timeliness and efficiency of designs, while developing software and submittals for client and engineering reviews.

The role requires an associate or technical degree with several years of HVAC/building automation experience, CAD/drafting proficiency, and

Qualifications

Associate or Technical degree, three years of related technical experience or equivalent.
Three or more years’ experience.
Knowledge of HVAC and building subsystems from design/installation/commissioning perspective.
Experience in the integration of low voltage building subsystems using various industry protocols.
Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
Strong computer skills, including CAD drafting tools.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and operate complete building control systems including fire, security, and low voltage subsystems.
Provide designs and submittals communicating design and operation to customers and teams.
Develop and test software programs to operate the system per project requirements.
Create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, BOMs, network layouts and electrical schematics.
Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
Order and track materials for assigned projects; coordinate factory-mounting processes.
Assist in loading, commissioning, and validation of system functionality.
