Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Technical HVAC Controls Engineer to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems including fire, security, and low voltage subsystems for complex projects. You will develop software, create submittals, and coordinate drawings, schedules, and material orders while ensuring quality and safety.

Travel to job sites is required. Candidates have an associate or technical degree with HVAC knowledge; bachelor’s is preferred; strong CAD skills and

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical degree with 3+ years relevant work experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated HVAC industry knowledge.
• Understanding of control theory and building automation systems from design/installation/commissioning view.
• Experience integrating low-voltage subsystems using industry protocols; ability to explain technical concepts to non-tech audiences.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Designs/builds complex building control systems per contract documents.
• Develops and tests software to operate the system per project requirements.
• Coordinates drawings, equipment schedules, and submittals for installation.
• Controls material orders and delivery for assigned projects; coordinates factory processes.
• Provides field training and assists in validation and commissioning of systems.
