Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to perform master systems integration of BMS, build control databases, and create user interfaces based on project specs. You will provide on-site and remote support, start-up and commissioning, and software installation for large enterprise clients.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. 50% travel may be required to support projects globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or software.
• Ability to analyze solutions using technical judgment and precedent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Core knowledge in Building Management Systems, Niagara, Distech Controls, BACnet/Modbus, HVAC controls, IT networking, commissioning, troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations, and panel layouts.
• Program control applications with various software tools.
• Perform job-site checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Verify operation per project specifications and design documentation.
• Develop system graphics displays according to specs or proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues; report findings to the Project team.
