Job summary

Trane Technologies in Charlotte is seeking an Area Service Manager to lead Service Repair, Upgrades, Service Agreements and installation activities with customers. You will coordinate field service, recruit and train technicians, manage invoicing and collections, and drive customer satisfaction.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC, 3+ years of leadership, and strong project management with MS Office; Salesforce is a plus. Travel to customer sites and a safety-sensitive environment are involved.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in HVAC or related field.
• 3+ years experience managing and coaching large teams.
• Project management skills to oversee startups and customer requests.
• Tech-savvy with Microsoft applications; Salesforce experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• P&L responsibility, provide monthly revenue forecasting and drive service agreement growth.
• Budget control including overheads like fleet, uniforms, tools, and safety equipment.
• Risk mitigation and management of service agreements and turnkey work.
• Oversee service coordination, ensure technician training and balanced skill levels.
• Coach and develop service employees; drive continuous improvement and training programs.
• Ensure margin expectations, cash flow and invoicing efficiency; improve service processes.
• Ensure EH&S compliance and provide safety training.
