Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions, LLC. seeks a High Voltage Substation Superintendent to lead field execution of HV substation, transmission, and interconnection scopes on large-scale power infrastructure projects within our Project Delivery Team.

You will oversee subcontractors and drive safe, compliant, and high-quality HV work from site prep through testing and energization, coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver critical power projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• HV electrical systems experience in substations or transmission.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and enforcing contract scope.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications.
• Valid driver's license; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage subcontractors executing HV substation and transmission work, ensuring safe, compliant, high-quality installation.
• Oversee the full HV construction lifecycle from site marking to energization readiness.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards across all HV scopes and project phases.
• Develop and enforce a 3-week lookahead schedule for HV activities and align with milestones.
• Maintain schedule, budget, and contract compliance while identifying risks.
• Verify subcontractor work aligns with drawings, specs, and contract requirements.
• Provide daily progress reports on risks and subcontractor performance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Civil, Mechanical, and PV Electrical teams to optimize sequencing and minimize delays.
