Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions' DEPCOM Power is seeking a High Voltage Substation Superintendent to lead field execution of HV substation, transmission, and interconnection scopes on large-scale power infrastructure projects.

You will oversee subcontractors, drive safety and quality, and coordinate with civil, mechanical, and PV electrical teams to ensure energized, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with HV electrical systems (substations, transmission, interconnection)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications
• Experience managing subcontractors and ensuring contract scope, schedule, and quality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage subcontractors executing HV substation and transmission work (foundations, electrical, SCADA integration)
• Oversee the full HV construction lifecycle from site prep to energization readiness
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards across HV scopes
• Develop and enforce a 3-week lookahead schedule for HV activities
• Maintain schedule, budget, and contract compliance while identifying execution risks
• Verify subcontractor work aligns with drawings and contract requirements
• Provide clear daily reporting on progress, risks, and subcontractor performance
• Collaborate with Civil, Mechanical, and PV Electrical teams to optimize sequencing
• Coach and develop field teams and subcontractors aligning with PBM principles
