Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a High Voltage Superintendent for Self-Perform Installation & Commissioning. Lead field crews in HV substation installation, testing and commissioning from 115kV to 765kV across North America.

Develop plans, supervise labor, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with PM, engineering and commissioning teams. The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related tech field and 10+ years of HV experience, with travel across North America and active site

Qualifications

10+ years of direct field experience in HV substation construction and commissioning.
Leadership of craft labor and field teams.
Strong knowledge of HV systems and industry standards (IEEE, NETA, NEC, NESC).
Hands-on experience with protection & control wiring, testing and diagrams.
Willingness to travel across North America; valid driver’s license; site access clearances.

Responsibilities

Lead in-house crews in installation, assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning of HV equipment (GIS, AIS, transformers, P&C).
Develop daily work plans, allocate resources, and supervise craft labor to meet safety, productivity, quality, and schedule requirements.
Perform hands-on installation and testing with the team.
Coordinate with project management, engineering and commissioning to align field execution with requirements and schedules.
Promote and enforce EHS standards and maintain records of progress, tests, redlines, field changes, turnover docs.
Support commissioning activities including energization, final testing, and turnover, while mentoring crew members.
